Methodology
My teaching method is to go through a topic in detail until the student is confident with the particular topic and then work on answering different questions on that topic. I also like to recap past topics at the beginning of the lesson to ensure that topics are not forgotten.
Experience
I am a university student and have tutored multiple students at GCSE level. I have tutored students in Maths and Chemistry and so am familiar with the scheme of work. I studied Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics at North London Collegiate School. I am currently studying Computer Science at the University of Cambridge

Riya has been tutoring my younger sister this year and has really made such a difference. She has become so much more confident in Maths since Riya has been helping her. She explains concepts in a really clear and simple way, and she’s always available on text if my sister is struggling with a homework in between sessions. Riya has been a great help and I will definitely recommend her to anyone who needs help with Maths.
She’s really helpful and whatever I’m struggling on in class or I don’t understand, she’ll help me go over it until I get it. I didn’t really get straight line equations in the school lesson, but when I told her she really helped me and explained it to me really clearly, and if I didn’t understand something, she would change the technique until it worked for me. She’s really supportive as well, because I’m not confident in maths, but with her I’m more confident in homework and tests. She’s a patient, calm, really friendly tutor who will help you with whatever you need.
