My primary focus is A-level students, to help them with their grades and university applications, but I am also available to support GCSE and degree level biologists.
I make my lessons as practical and interactive as possible, as this is the best way to remember what we learn! I did all of my own revision through mindmaps, so I will help you create your own as your very own revision material.
I studied Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Geography at High Storrs School in Sheffield and went on to graduate from Cambridge University with a First class degree in Zoology in 2014. Since then I have worked in the civil service on issues related to environmental science and development.
I have tutored students whilst studying for my A levels and ran practical classes at open days throughout school and university to encourage enthusiasm for science and did a 2-month placement teaching science in Nepal.
I am available to teach Biology and related subjects and in addition, to help with university applications and writing personal statements. Having been through both the Oxbridge and Civil Service admissions process, and aided others to successfully do the same, I am skilled in applications and interviews.

Sophie tutored me biology - she was patient, and able to explain quite complicated areas really simply. Her style of teaching was relaxed and flexible. I had a lot of fun learning with Sophie and would recommend!
