As it says in the title, I'm a maths student at Cambridge, living in London - I've just finished the second year of my degree and am looking to do some tutoring over the summer (July-September 2017, but also possibly beyond).
I am offering tutoring to school pupils who are struggling with maths or physics at GCSE, AS and A-level, and also happy to offer help to pupils who are looking to apply to university to study maths, physics or a related subject, including help with interviews and entrance exams such as STEP.
I will structure my lessons around sets of questions - e.g. past exam papers, asking students to work through these and then using them as a basis to teach concepts and methods.
I am relatively new to tutoring and have only done a few one-off paid tutoring jobs for family friends - however, my experience with the style of teaching at Cambridge (one-on-one supervisions) is helpful for individual tutoring, and I have a lot of informal experience helping schoolfriends with maths and sciences.
- Degree: Mathematics at Cambridge (Trinity College), 2 years completed
- A-levels: Maths (A*), Further Maths (A*), Physics (A*)
- STEP (Cambridge maths entrance exams): 1 in STEP II, S in STEP III
