Generally, I want to help you gain an intuitive understanding of the subject (as opposed to memorising how to do specific problems) as I strongly believe that this is the best way to boost your grade at any level.
However, I am extremely flexible in my teaching methods depending on the student and the student's wishes. I will evaluate what I think you need help with and tailor the lessons accordingly.
Maths can seem overwhelming and unintelligible, but I strongly believe that anyone can do it, and do it well - you just need to learn how to structure your thinking. If you are struggling on a concept or a problem, it is often the case that the foundations are not completely there. Unlike many subjects, it is impossible to progress to new material without having a complete grasp of the old material. I can help you build up your maths understanding from the bottom and work towards ever more challenging problems.
I have been tutoring for nearly two years, to students ages 11-18+, covering KS3, GCSE, A Level Maths, Further Maths and Physics, as well as first year undergraduate Physics and university applications. I have references available on request.
I am extremely passionate about mathematics and physics and love communicating my knowledge and passion to students.
I took Maths, Further Maths and Physics A Levels, achieving an A* in each.
This year I achieved a 1st in my Physics MSci (I specialised in Theoretical Physics) at Cambridge University.
