I'm a Canadian-born teacher who has been living in London for the past two years. I finished my Bachelor of Education two years ago at Bishop's University in Canada and moved to London shortly after. I have been teaching Year 3 in London for the past two years.
I think the biggest part of teaching is to engage the learner. It's important for me that my students enjoy learning at all times. Lessons should be carefully thought through before teaching so that there is creativity and learning taking place at the same time!
During my time teaching Year 3, I also did some after school tutoring for Year 6 students who were doing the SATS exams at the end of the year. This was very important as the results reflect the student in Year 7 and beyond.
I have done lots of teaching and observations in other year groups throughout my time, therefore I feel that I can certainly cater to any age level.
I would say that I'm a outgoing and friendly teacher as I like to connect with my students on a 1-to-1 level.
