- What kind of experience do you have?
I am teaching young children mainly, in pre-preparatory and preparatory schools.
I am employed since several years in different schools in London. I started to teach when I was a student myself and it helped me to understand, develop and mature with depth what I learnt during my studies.
I also really like teaching adults. I am quite experienced with little ones too, especially beginners.
My method is based on consciousness of movements, which I believe can be felt even at a very young age; and can be 'discovered' at a more advanced stage in life.
I also use a colour system, for the very early steps of learning, when ,for instance , a pupil don't read yet.
I am also passionate about psychology and I started a degree in psychology in September 2017, to complement my teaching skills. I am currently in second year of Bachelor in Psychology. I wanted to enhance my teaching skill, by understanding physiological and psychological human functioning, as well as psychology of children's development.

Axelle is a brilliant teacher. She knows how to inspire, challenge and make you aim to be the best you can be. In just a short time she has taken me from being a complete beginner to playing in an amateur orchestra! I would highly recommend her!
[…] Axelle encourages me to achieve to the best of my ability both physically and mentally by getting me to slow down, and savour what happens with and between every note. When I look perplexed she provides analogies (or anecdotes) to ensure I grasp each concept and ensures that every lesson although demanding is fun and rewarding. Axelle clearly enjoys teaching and inspiring, and her playing is a joy to hear. I recommend Axelle to anyone of any age who wants to learn, improve and enjoy playing the cello.
Axelle has been teaching our daughter for almost four years. She has a real passion for working with children and cares enormously about their progress. Her passion and dedication are remarkable. Our daughter has made great progress during her time with Axelle and always tries to give her best and produce a beautiful sound on her cello. She passed her first three grades with distinction, a testimony to Axelle's high quality teaching.
