About the lesson
The fashion industry englobes loads of different skills.
It's not only about the actual creation of the garment.
My ambitions in different fields of study has helped me develop a strong personal style. I am interested not only in the future of the fashion industry, but in the way this will shape our lives and daily routines.
My growing interest in computing and automatisation has helped me envision an alternative fashion industry.
Things you will learn with me: problem-solving skills, materialisation of your ideas, design development, pattern-cutting, garment making and computer skills (photoshop, illustrator, indesign, CLO 3D, Blender) to make you stand out inside the industry.

About Ana
Currently moved to Paris for a period of 6 months, where I am working for Lemariè (CHANEL group) as a Creative Intern.
In terms of experience, 3 years ago I decided to take a step further and start teaching, going from portfolio preparation or Fashion skills to a more technical aspect of the Adobe pack. I'm a dedicated tutor, with clear knowledge on the subject and ambitions in many disparate fields (psychology, fashion, technology, sustainability, and graphics among others).
Recently diagnosed with ADHD and with some students with different learning disabilities, I deeply believe in the power of hard work and passion for anything you want to archive in life.
I am a 22 years old made in Spain, studying in London, but currently based in Paris (for a period of 6 months).

01
When did you start practicing? How did this passion find you?
As long as I can remember, I have always been trying to find my creative scape. And it reaches a point, when you have been doing something for such a long time, that it is inevitably part of who you are. I often struggle when it comes to explaining myself, and this has been happening since I was a kid. As if drawing was the only approach to materialize what I had inside. To make it real and palpable.
It is not just a passion or a hobby anymore, but something intrinsic to my inner soul.02
Which artists or works affect you the most?
'Basquiat' is undoubtedly my main engine. But parallel to my development as an artist, I feel influenced by other waves such as innovation, where 'Iris Van Herpen' is a master; technology, with brains like 'Tom Galle', 'Antoni Tudisco' or 'Chad Knight'; and fashion, where 'Palomo Spain', 'AVAVAV Firenze' or 'Windowsen' influence my practice.
03
What are the qualities and skill required to succeed in this area?
GRIT. Because of its direct connection with success. Understanding grit a passion and perseverance for very long-term goals. The power of sticking with your future and working hard to make it a reality.
04
What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?
Bringing back this idea of when life shuts the door, open it again. It is a door, and that is how they work.
The first thing we need to understand it that art is not maths, so it has not been written under the rules of logic. If you find you are losing your focus, get out, get active, subject your body to different stimuli, then settle a clear goal, and make it happen.
And leave your instinct to drive you.05
How would you describe your passion; how does it make you feel?
I would not describe it as a passion anymore, but as an extension of who I am. I have always relied on art, and that has shaped my personality and biggest ambitions.
When people ask me to explain what I do and why I do it, I don't usually have an answer. I think the mind is extremely powerful and everything we do derives from a pre-settle idea that has been trapped somewhere in our subconscious, we do nothing arbitrarily.
Somehow, when we are creating, that is externalized without us going through the process of meditating the idea, it just comes out as a superior impulse than the apparent simplicity of the 'free will'. It is after creating when you can find the meaning of what you are doing, when you can try to understand yourself.
As an art critic of your own piece.
And that makes me feel alive.06
What creative achievements are you particularly proud of?
My creative nonconformity. I would consider myself a multifaceted person, drawn to multiple fields that I tried to merge in one. My ambitions to create something distinctive make me investigate in fields far away from mine, that indirectly enriches the person I am.
07
Have you ever been surprised by a student; by their ability or quick progression?
It is beautiful to see how a person flourishes when you give them hope. I have seen many students being so assertive about their incapability to draw or generate creative content. But as every kid has the power to draw without the barrier of shame, adults have it too. My small brother showed me how creativity is not lost in a way inversely proportional to our age, what we lose is the intrinsic ability to believe in the potential that we all carry within.
As soon as they lose the embarrassment, their progression flies.
The power of our mind is endless.08
Being a Superprof is an art! What is your secret?
As a creative, I try to nurture other's creative ambitions to build the confidence they need to succeed. There is no stronger force than the power of believing in yourself. The mind is a magnet of success.
I teach through constructive criticism, to uncover all the potential my students carry inside.
