I give lessons to all age groups from year 1 till A'level. I like asking the student what they would like to focus on first as I believe the students will have an idea of what they struggle with the most. After that, I can gauge where else they might be struggling and try and focus on basics before heading them into the deep end. if a student doesn't understand one method, I do try and see if there are other methods for them to try instead on sticking to just one.
I am a third-year chemical engineering student (female) giving maths lessons and I have been tutoring math for 5 years. I've taught 6 students so far and they have all done well in their maths exams (GCSE) ranging from A-C.
My rates are all the same however I do prefer an open line of communication so students or parents can tell me if they need to cancel an appointment.
