I base my classes on the Cambridge supervision techniques, whereby the student is given the chance to attempt questions on their own, while I guide them through their thinking process, instead of simply spoonfeeding them with information. This is a good technique to enhance cognitive skills and train the student to develop a more independent thinking style.

Hi, my name is Neeleema! I have a BA (Honours) course in Natural Sciences, with a focus in Chemistry, from the University of Cambridge. I was top 2 at National level for Science (Girls) in Mauritius for the CIE A-level final exams and was 1st the country for Geography at AS level in the same year.
I believe I am competent to teach Chemistry up to degree level in the areas of organic, physical and biological chemistry well. I volunteered for the STIMULUS programme at the university where I assisted a primary school teacher in teaching Mathematics. At Cambridge, we have small-group teaching classes called supervisions, which are tailored specifically to the students' needs, very similar to private tutoring, and from such observations, I know how to approach a student and what to expect. During my degree, I have, on several occasions, helped out students in the years below me with their problems in Chemistry in a tutorial-like manner.
Furthermore, I am a fluent French-speaker, having learnt the language from the age of three at school until the age of sixteen, and it being one of the main languages of my country, I am very comfortable speaking and teaching it.
