I approach most of my topics by looking at how they would be examined on in an exam. If the understanding of the topic by the student is low then I would be more than happy to go through the concepts first before tackling exam questions. By learning how exam questions should be answered, it gives the student a better knowledge of what they need to understand in each topic.
I am an undergraduate chemistry student at the University of Birmingham. I am looking to help tutor GCSE and A-Level student in science and maths subjects. I achieved a high 2:1 in my first year at university. AAB at A-Level along with 7A*s 5As and 1B at GCSE in a wide range of subjects. I will be able to help with exam technique as we all teach new concepts.

I am a creative and ambitious Chemistry undergraduate at the University of Birmingham. I love taking on new challenges and pushing myself to be the best I can possibly be. My skillset ranges from effective communication skills to the ability to analyse a problem and being able to adapt to overcome it. These skills, I believe, are important for a tutor.

June 2019 - RB Challenge Group Project • University of Birmingham • I worked in a group for 2 weeks to solve a problem set by Reckitt Benckiser and this helped develop my teamwork and communication skills through creating a presentation and project report.
Over the summer of 2017, I undertook 3 project placements at the University of Wolverhampton, looking at the cancer research they do. Harper Adams University, where I conducted a project which looked into the mineral content of soil and its pH – after which I wrote a 20-page report and presented my work. I also completed a project at the University of Warwick as part of Nuffield Research which involved me creating a experiment for the second year lab programme on the Chemistry course (this is now officially on the programme). This also involved me creating a poster of my research and a 20-page report. For the latter two placements, I received 2 Gold Crest Awards for my work.
