Chemistry student offering tutoring in maths and sciences to everyone over zoom!

Methodology

My approach will be tailored to each student individually. It is important that everyone gets to learn in an environment they feel most comfortable in - I strive to give this to each of my students and create an atmosphere where they are motivated to learn and do their best. I am very patient and good at coming up with ways to explain things in an easy and simple way. Please get in touch with me to have a chat!

Experience

I am currently a 3rd year Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Student at the University of Strathclyde! I can help you with maths, chemistry and physics (Nat5, Higher, Advanced Higher, undergrad levels - the last is chemistry only). Currently based in Glasgow however thanks to zoom I can help you wherever you are!

I'm incredibly friendly and easy going - passionate about organic chemistry so let me make you fall in love with cool compounds, reaction mechanisms and NMR!

Consequent Lessons - £15/h - £35/h - depending on the subject and level as I will need to prepare for the lesson.

- In my spare time, I have been teaching myself the
how to program in Python via Udemy courses, looking
ahead, I would also like to master C++ and Java.
- I find that the way of thinking I gained from this has
enhanced my approach to problem solving both in my
daily activities and my degree.

French
2018-Present
-I take extra credit French classes as languages have
always been a passion of mine.
- Through this I had the opportunity to be on the
departmental debate team in 2019. This experience
allowed me to become more confident and improved
my oral French as talking in front of a large audience
in a foreign language is both a daunting and
exhilarating experience.

Acting Class Rep
2018-Present
- I have been the acting class rep for my degree
stream since 1st year. In this role, I have successfully
helped implement several changes to improve the
quality of education and student life.
- For example, I ensured that the curriculum will be
rearranged to create a more balanced workload on
year 2 students.
- I also organised a support group-chat for all years to
provide networking and social opportunities
- Additionally, I was able to set up student-led tutoring
groups to help with exam preparations for more junior
years.
- This year, I have had the crucial role in ensuring that
online learning went smoothly for all of the classes
being undertaken by third years by liaising with both
senior staff members and our lecturers.
