I have been working in Early years for over 5 years professionally and I have been apart of a management team in this field for over 3 years.
I am a child centered practitioner and my lessons are tailored to the interests of the child I am working with. I like to have a conversation with the family first to identify any strengths or triggers of the child.
All sessions will focus on at least three aspects of the EYFS curriculum and they will be delivered through a variety of learning styles while being fun to do.
I am also able to deliver school support to children up to GCSE stage as I am working within
a school environment to be able to ascertain resources and teaching methods of children up to that age. I have worked in a school environment and I have been able to try and motivate children to see the fun in learning.
I am able to use a variety of resources in the session. So that the lessons are different person and never the same thing.
With secondary school children the lesson is increasingly focused. Although there are elements of fun and games included into the lesson plan.
The lessons will incorporate three subjects English, Maths and Science. And they would executed in this order. There would be times where small science experiments would be done in at home. In which I would provide all the resources.
For families who desire it I am able to provide homework, in relation what has been covered during the lesson. All evaluation of homework would be done outside of the lesson time.
I am a SENCO and I specialize in being able to provide support to families for those whom have EHCP and need additional support. As well as I have a variety of sensory resources to engage the student and then follow on with learning.
With all children there would a visual timetable of the lessons that would be doing through the day. So they are aware of potential games to follow study periods. Even though all games would be purposely designed for further study.
All resources used in the session would be provided and kept myself. Additionally if requested lessons can be sent prior to the sessions.
For early years children. I am happy to work on the floors to do all sessions. For primary school children either the floor or the table. And secondary school age children a table would be required please.
