My name is Emma Hildreth and I'm a freelance children's illustrator and lecturer at University teaching Book and Editorial and Character Design subjects.
I work online providing short tasks and activities for you to complete in which I critic and feedback to you on how to improve. I can also provide face to face tutorials via Skype in which I can talk you through the feedback or activities.
As a tutor I am relaxed but informative. You are the one to direct the route through your learning rather than me tell you which route you should take.
This makes it easier for you to get what you want from the learning.
I have been teaching at a variety of levels from National Qualification Level 1 upwards to Degree level for over 10 years now, but also work as a freelance children illustrator creating cartoon characters for books, products, educational activity packs etc.
Many students have gone on to become freelance illustrators themselves working on jobs including 'Olympic Games Transport Posters'.
I can give you the inspiration, desire and basic skills to either pursue formal further education or create your own picture book or cartoons for your friends and family.
