I am a freelance musician, working as a performer, teacher and conductor.
I teach all brass instruments and piano with experience teaching primary, secondary children and adults. I enjoy teaching to all abilities and ages.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach most brass instruments - cornet, trumpet, tenor horn, euphonium, trombone and tuba, as well as piano and music theory.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a 1st class Bmus(hons) degree from Trinity College of Music and a post-graduate diploma from the Royal College of Music.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £35 for hour lessons or £20 for half hour lessons. There may be a small extra charge for travel depending where. I can offer half price for a first trial lesson and a discount for siblings and lessons longer than an hour.
- Where do you teach?
I can teach at home in Palmers Green. I also currently travel to other areas of North London, North-West and East London.
- When are you available?
I am flexible with the times to try suit the pupil's school/work. I teach weekday evenings and can do some weekdays during the day.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all school ages and adults, at any level of ability and experience.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I mainly prepare my students for ABRSM exams, however I can use the Trinity syllabus too. Or we can not work towards exams depending on the pupil's abilities and preferences.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have taught pupils in schools and privately for a number of years, including child and adult beginners up to post grade 8 and university level.
As a performer, I work as a freelance musician in various styles, including with the Royal Ballet Sinfonia, Hackney Colliery Band and the Black Dyke Band.

I have an up to date DBS.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
I currently have a few secondary school pupils working towards the higher grade exams, 2 adult pupils who work on technique and help with the groups they play with as well as earlier level pupils in primary and secondary schools. I have recently had a distinction diploma pupil who I taught from the start.
