I am a passionate teacher and an active professional singer. As well as private students I am a member of the RCM Teaching Service, on staff at the London Oratory School and Chelsea Academy, and an expert contributor to the website Videojug.com.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
My main areas of expertise are Classical Singing and Musical Theatre.
I do a large amount of Vocal Coaching, assisting singers with issues of performance, interpretation, language (English, French, German & Italian) and audition preparation, and tutor Academic Music, Musicianship and Music Theory.
I have successfully entered students for ABRSM graded examinations and prepared them for various performances and auditions, including for professional stage productions, numerous choirs and for institutions such as the prestigious BRIT School.
Also, although I do not teach piano, I am a very confident pianist and regularly accompany singers in rehearsal and performance.

MPerf: Distinction (Royal College of Music)
BA(hons) Music: First (Durham University)
I have a Bachelor's degree in music from Durham University and a Masters in Vocal Performance from the Royal College of Music. I then continued my training on ENO's Opera Works.
- How much do you charge?
For Singing Lessons / Vocal Tuition I charge:
£40 (£30) - 60 mins
£22 (£16.50) - 30 mins
Students receive 25% discount
For Academic Music / Music Theory I charge a flat £35/hr
- Where do you teach?
I teach in my house in West London (W3 7TN), near Shepherd's Bush / Acton / Hammersmith, but I am also happy to travel to students' homes in the Greater London area.
- When are you available?
I prefer to teach week-days (day time and evening), but weekends may also be manageable.
As an active professional singer my schedule can vary week-to-week, but I will always give notice of changes to lesson times.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all ages and all abilities.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I have prepared students for ABRSM graded examinations as well as offering Audition Preparation, including for professional stage productions, numerous choirs and for institutions such as the BRIT School.
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I do not currently offer lessons via Skype, however, I have had multiple request to do so, so am considering starting in the near future.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching singing for nearly ten years, both privately and with the RCM Teaching Service, the London Oratory School and at Chelsea Academy. I have also been commissioned by the website Videojug.com to make a series of instructional videos on singing technique.
Alongside teaching I am an active professional opera singer, working with companies such as English National Opera and English Touring Opera.
I have also done educational work for companies such as English National Opera, Garsington Opera, Stagecoach and the English Choral Experience.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Yes. I have and Enhanced DBS Check (April 2015)
I have also completed the NSPCC Child Protection Awareness in Music course
- Where and with whom did you train?
I trained at the Royal College of Music with Justin Lavender, and ENO Opera Works with Jane Robinson and Martin Constantine.
