As a performer I have twenty years experience of playing bass in a wide range of situations including live, studio, and touring. I have performed on recordings for the BBC and Channel 4 (UK), and have performed live with musicians such as Bernie Shaw (Uriah Heap) and Rick Astley.
As a teacher I have over ten years experience teaching guitar, bass, ukulele, and banjo. I have thought students of all ages and abilities including preparing students for graded exams. I've been having regular ukulele lessons with Cian since September 2014.
I started as a complete beginner not able to play at all. Now in February 2015 I'm able to play a variety of chords, different strumming patterns and am starting to learn music theory. Cian's teaching allows me to progress at my own speed and increase's my confidence with the ukulele.
I would happily recommend Cian as a music teacher.
I first came to Cian approximately 4 months ago with very little knowledge
in bass playing. Since then I have made huge strides in both playing
technique and musical knowledge. My initial vision was to work my way
through rock school grades, and whilst I am still doing that, Cian has
vastly broadened my outlook. Bass playing has become a huge amount of fun as a result, and I highly recommend Cian to anyone who wants to improve their bass playing.
