Hello! I have over 18 years experience tutoring music working with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland & privately. I am enthusiastic and determined & I get great enjoyment from pupils progressing. Lessons are tailored to individual needs.

I teach Violin, Scottish Fiddle and Music Theory.

I have a Bachelor of Arts (Scottish Music) degree form the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (formerly Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama)
- How much do you charge?
Half hour lessons are recommended for children: £14. 45 mins lessons recommended for adults or children preparing for exams are £21. I can travel to most of the West side of Glasgow and surrounding areas, however, I may have to consider travel time. Lessons are usually taught in my music room at my own home in G14.
- Where do you teach?
I teach in my "music room" at home or it may be possible to visit you.
- When are you available?
I am available weekdays and evenings - open to discussion.

5 - 105! All ages and demographics welcome!

ABRSM exams - 1-8; SQA exams; RCS exams, Trinity Guild Hall exams, competitions & auditions.

- What kind of experience do you have?
I have taught privately and as an instrumental music instructor for the MUSICWORKS programme ran by the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland for over 15 years.
Privately, lessons are based round the needs and wants for each individual. I teach pupils to read music or they can learn by ear, we can work towards ABRSM exams - many of my pupils achieve merit and distinction grades. I prepare pupils for SQA exam performance, auditions & competitions. I tutor ABRSM grade 5 theory where my pupils have obtained distinction passes. I focus on improving technique and repertoire.

- Tell me about some of your current students.
I have a wide demographic of students - both in Scottish fiddle and violin. I have successfully coached pupils to gain entry to the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Junior school. Many of my students gain distinction in their ABRSM violin exams and have won / gained placements at Scottish music compeitions. (eg The Trade House of Glasgow Schools Robert Burns music competition, Perth music festival)
Grade 5 music theory pupils gain upwards of 90% in their exam.
