As an experienced A-level Biology teacher and Head of Biology I understand that the step up from GCSE to A-level Biology can seem huge. We will work together to improve your understanding and gain the skills to apply the theory in exams.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I specialise in AS and A-level Biology, I offer a free initial session so we can get to know each other and discuss your progress so far. I will then design sessions that will that build and recap your prior knowledge before linking this to the A-level topics. I will help you to understand the theory with questioning, diagrams and animations before using a range of past papers to show how it might appear in the exam and how you would go about tacking such questions.
I am also able to support you with other skills such as practical technique, statistical tests and synoptic essays. As an experienced tutor I have extensive experience with the UCAS process helping students gain places at Russell Group and Oxbridge universities and am always happy to offer advice and assistance with choices and personal statements.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I gained a BSc(hons.) Biology from the University of Manchester, I then completed a PGCE in Seconaday Science (Biology) and gained Qualified Teacher Status.
- How much do you charge?
£35 per hour.
**Your first meeting will be free to allow us to get to know each other and allow us to discuss your needs and prior progress.**

I am available for on-to-one A-level Biology tuition either at my home in central Exeter-near the Millers Crossing bridge- or within the outskirts of the city-although I may charge extra for travel.

I have availability weekday and Sunday evenings either at my home in central Exeter (near the Millers Crossing Bridge) or I am able to travel around the outskirts of Exeter but may charge for travel - please contact me for more details.
