Bachelor of Music (honours), Royal College of Music - upper second class (2008)
Grade 8 clarinet, saxophone and oboe, ABRSM (1999, 2002, 2003)
Grade 5 + Piano and Theory ABRSM (1998, 2002)
- How much do you charge?
To have lessons at my home:
£30 per hour
£25 per 45 minutes
£20 per 30 minutes
(a supplement of £5 to travel to your house)
- Where do you teach?
I teach in West London and South West London including Richmond, Ealing and Chiswick.
I do offer teaching from my home in Isleworth. I have a car and am happy to travel within an 5 mile distance of Isleworth for a supplement fee of £5. .
- When are you available?
I am available on weekdays, occasional weekends and most school holidays.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
All ages and level on clarinet and saxophone
Up to grade 5 ABRSM on oboe, piano and theory.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I am happy to teach either ABRSM board or Guildhall Trinity syllabus.
These start from Music Medals where it is very informal to an advanced Diploma qualification worthy of university status.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching since 2002 on both clarinet and saxophone. I have taught beginner to diploma level to all ages. I have a current position at St Helen and Katharine School in Abingdon teaching clarinet.
My training at the Royal College of Music, London included Aural, Keyboard Skills, Theory and Conducting.
My main focus as a teacher is to personalise each lesson in order to attain the highest level of skill while ensuring the student still has fun! Whether my student is a working professional that wants to simply learn some well known tunes, or a child who wants to attain all the grades, I design my approach to suit your needs.

- Tell me about some of your current students.
Some of my previous students have gone on to university to study music. Others have won positions in the National Youth Wind Orchestra. One of my students attained a mark of 142/150 in his grade 8 saxophone ABRSM exam at the age of 14.
Recently I gave master classes to university students in Gdansk, Poland.
