'The expression of thought, of sentiment, of the passions, must be the true aim of music.' (Jean-Philippe Rameau, 1683 - 1764)
Playing the bassoon is a healthy challenge; it makes life more creative, more passionate and more productive, within emotional and rational backgrounds. To play in chamber music or in solo performances it develops a comfortable relation with the audience. Your musical expressions will become more and more naturally delivered to the public.
It is common to hear people saying only a few performers have the sensibility to make music. I have a different opinion; I believe positive will power and dedication will drive all knowledge and feeling each person needs to play an instrument, no matter the age, gender, race or religion. Hence, for the development of each student's unique musical potential, I guide them through musical knowledge and tradition which will give them the basis they need to express in music.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have taken part in master classes with the bassoonists: Henning Trog, Pascal Gallois, Gunter Pfitzenmaier, Nicolas Cardoze, Roberto Erculiani, Michael Dooley, Tolga Alpay, Pierre Olivier Martin, Gyorgy Lakatos, Douglas Bakenhus and Stefano Canuti.
In 2007 I won a place on the BBC Philharmonic extra work list and was selected in 2008/09 for the Hallé Orchestra Professional Access Scheme.
I also enjoy play chamber music I had a few chamber music groups to point out the Trio 'Mrio' was the last chamber music ensemble who was winners of the Trevor Wye prize for Wind chamber music in 2006 at the Royal Northern College of Music. As well as chamber music I also perform in various solo recitals.
I also like to play in orchestra and I have played with the Porto National Orchestra, Templários National Wind Orchestra, Kodály-Bartók World Youth Orchestra, Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra and regularly plays with various ensembles both within and outside the Royal Northern college of Music. My interest and achievement into a better quality in playing, sharing, helping, explaining, demonstrating, was inspired by working with teachers in all different musical fields.
