With a keen interest and passion for art of all types, and having studied media and graphic design at college, I am offering fun and cooperative tuition. I am very easy going and tailor sessions around your needs, requirements, strengths etc.
My methods are influenced by Discovery Learning, which encourages pupils to build on their existing knowledge with help from teachers, rather than constantly being instructed. This provides a much more interactive and flexible experience which can be easily tailored to your needs.
Having mentored a number college students in various subjects during the last couple of years as part of University work placements, I have worked on creating a great rapport with pupils as well as developing my own teaching methods in order to get the best out of people. Students I have worked with have gone on to show fantastic progress thanks to my teaching methods and strategies tailored to their strengths. Always gives me great satisfaction to see people I've worked with making progress!
Rates may vary depending on travel, and number of areas worked on (Photoshop, Illustrator, Internet Browsers, other computer skills etc.)
Once we have agreed on any and all areas to be covered, we would then agree on a price to reflect that as I create lessons tailored specifically to each individual student.

Educational work experience:
Second and third year of University studying Education: Two units (Work with children and young people (year 2), Curriculum project (year 3), required me to do a placement focused on mentoring students which provided me with practical, hands-on experience in the educational environment. I was given the freedom to carry out my work in the way I thought best and the feedback from my corresponding coursework and reports are evidence that I had succeeded in providing effective teaching methods and mentoring.
Duties included motivating students, offering support and guidance. Assessing current skill levels and setting realistic targets and frequently monitoring progress of students’ knowledge, understanding and achievements throughout the academic year. Also making plan of action on specific areas of improvement such as improving grammar, proof-reading, planning and working on assignments effectively etc. Sessions were tailored around pupils' strengths, weaknesses, needs and requirements, including them as part of the process and making them feel more involved and enthusiastic.
