I like to start with basic technical terms, such as nouns and verbs, before moving on to sentence structure and more complex techniques. Each lesson will be an equal division of looking over terminology and the books until I can determine how to best help the student.

I took part in a short work experience placement at Eaton Valley Primary School. I worked mainly with younger years, such as reception and year one. At this placement in July 2016, I learnt the value of individual care. I learnt the importance of treating people as individuals to suit everyone’s needs. I also learnt the value of good communication, as everything would fall apart unless team members are willing and able to talk and communicate with each other. I worked at McDonald’s, Holyhead Road, West Bromwich. During my time working as a crew member, I have developed a wide range of professional skills, such as: communication, dedication, determination, adaptability and conflict resolution.
I currently take part in the Boys Brigade and Girls Association. Here I have worked extremely hard for my Presidents badge, which is the second highest badge within the organisation. I am currently working towards my Queen’s Badge, the highest badge attainable. Working in the organisation has given me a real sense of what teamwork is all about. As well as this I have learnt the importance of great communication and trust between teammates. I also volunteer some of my time to help at the British Red Cross in Stourport. I was given this opportunity due to a family member working there and it has been a great opportunity to learn and progress my skills.
