I focus on teaching practical, functional English that you can use immediately. A basic level of ability is ideal, but not required. I believe a textbook cannot teach you anything useful alone. They must be employed together with drills, exercises, and most importantly, practice.
I also provide lessons in English literature and analysis for advanced students who wish to further improve their abilities. Lessons will focus on textual interpretation and writing assignments.
If you are studying for a particular examination, lessons can be structured to suit the needs of the syllabus.
I'm a student with an undergraduate degree in Modern History from the University of St Andrews, and a Masters in Public Relations from the University of Westminster. English is my first language; I also write poetry, nonfiction, and short fiction. I've taught functional and literary English for two years, most notably at one of Tsinghua University's outreach schools in Beijing, 2014.
