Community development and youth work graduate supporting people to change the world
Methodology
My teaching methodology would mainly be discussion based with the use of some community development methods such as popular education which allows people to see things in a different light though the use of music, photos etc.
Experience
I am a BaHons Community Development and Youth Work Graduate from the University of Glasgow. I have 7 years work experience within the field and have a vast range of knowledge within various areas. My expertise are working within the field of addictions, mental health and suicide, childhood trauma and ACES, resilience and additional support needs such as Autism. I currently work as a full time youth worker and half of my hours is based within a local high school where I deliver a variety of groups to disadvantaged young people who are experiencing stress for different reasons. I also deliver the Princes’ Trust Achieve Awards which is ran as a class also within the high school and promotes empowerment and allows disengaged young people to still gain qualifications.
