I am giving lessons to students from age 12 to 17. My lessons begin with outlining what the learning objectives are for the day, and how achieving these will help the student in to become a better programmer and computer scientist. I usually teach using a lot of examples, and walk-throughs before giving the students simple verbal tests to ensure the content has been understood. Lessons may end with games and activities related to the learning objectives in order to reinforce the knowledge.
I am a student at University College London currently studying Computer Science in my second year. I have been tutoring students for over 3 years, tutoring at a centre in Croydon, working as an assistant teacher in a primary school and volunteering as a maths mentor.
