I like to be very familiar and friendly with my students. I focus on communication more than grammar because, in order to use a language, one must learn how to speak it and be comfortable speaking it.
A typical class for me starts with a basic introductory conversation (this depends on the student's level) where I ask their name, age, background, what inspired them to learn Spanish and go from there. In my experience, I have had students who are not shy to speak, but others are, so I want to help those students be more confident about their abilities.
I am a student in translation who will finish her degree this year and continue a Masters in linguistics. I love languages, English and Spanish are my main focus, but I am also fluent in French. My next wish is to learn Portuguese.
