About Danilo

Danilo is a dedicated musician, producer, composer, and teacher with over 20 years of experience in performance, education, and recording. Based in South-East London, he offers personalised lessons in guitar, bass, ukulele, songwriting, and music production — both in person and online. An exam board specialist with in-depth knowledge of graded syllabuses (MTB, Trinity, Rockschool, ABRSM), he has guided many students to excellent results while encouraging creativity beyond exams. His teaching is student-centred, tailored to each learner’s goals and musical interests — from jazz, rock ’n’ blues, and electronic music to classical.

Experience

With over two decades as both performer and educator, Danilo’s career spans international concerts, studio recordings, and collaborations. He holds a BMus (Hons) in Jazz Guitar and a Master’s degree in Composition (Distinction, specialising in Electronic & Produced Music) from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where he also completed a Junior Fellowship (2024–2025).

His professional credits include collaborations with international artists such as Meredith O’Connor (USA), Joanna Alina (Australia), and Jordan Rutland (UK, Abbey Road Studios), with appearances at the London Jazz Festival and Southbank Centre. As a composer, he has created music for film and media, with credits including Meraki and The Swan Song (dir. Eric Felizardo), Happy Deal (dir. Guia Ravizza), the Illuminated River Project (London Bridge installation), OrchestRave (Barbican/RAM Records), The Little Shop of Imaginary Friends (BigRock Animation), and Broadway Boogie Woogie (Bauhaus Festival).

Danilo is the founder and Artistic Director of the Electric Earth Orchestra, a London-based ensemble merging orchestration, analog synthesis, plant sonification, and spatial audio. He is also an affiliate artist with Chaos Audio and Death Cloud Pedals, and has collaborated with Blackstar Amplification on product launches and demonstrations.

In addition, he undertook Rockschool examiner training (2020–2021), gaining first-hand experience of the exam process under the supervision of senior examiners. He is currently an MTB Exam Conductor and a recognised Trinity exam preparation tutor.

What Students Say

"I'm very lucky to have the chance to express myself creatively through interpreting guitar music, and I'm very lucky to be guided in this by a teacher with such a deep understanding of music. Your comments always get to the heart of the composer's intentions and how to communicate them in dynamics, articulation, and texture. Thank you so much for teaching me guitar over these past four years."
Will, Bristol (Grade 8, Distinction)
