I have taught students from 3 to over 50 years old, so I adapt my lessons and methodology to the person as much as possible. Individual classes require an open mind and figuring out how to work with each other so we both get the best experience. Every student might need a different approach to the subject, so I'm always open to shake things up a bit and try to find the best way to reach the student's goals.
I try including games, playfulness (and sometimes even a little bit of silliness) in every subject I teach, since I firmly believe it's the key to learning, discovering and developing your skills.
I'm a Spanish Musical Theatre graduate and actress who currently teaches Singing and Drama at different schools around London as well as tutoring Spanish, Clarinet and Singing. I love teaching my favourite subjects to people who are looking for a fun learning experience.
I started as a teacher and teacher assistant in an English and Theatre school in Murcia (Spain) for 6 months before moving to the UK. I taught Theatre and Musical Theatre in English to kids and teenagers from 3 to 17 years old. There I learnt a lot about teaching with a different and creative approach to the subjects. Since I moved to London 2 years ago I've been tutoring Spanish, Clarinet and Singing as well as teaching some Singing, Drama and Dance group classes at different schools around London.
I have trained in singing using several techniques, including Estill Voice Training. I love learning about and playing with the voice, that's why my big dissertation for my MT degree was about training the voice and exploring its limits with fun exercises.
I have been playing the clarinet since I was 6 years old. I trained for 11 years in Spanish conservatoires, which would equal over a Grade 8 over here. I studied the Degree in Music Performance (Clarinet) for a year before I decided to leave to study Musical Theatre.
I recently graduated from The MTA with a diploma in Musical Theatre.
Perfect! The strengths of this tutor are that she does not stick to labels but holistically works with a voice and discovers its strengths and weaknesses without biases.
The ways of practise she proposes are very interesting and unconventional, she has plenty of experience with the industry and really is ready to give proper and accurate advice.
Her lessons are gonna be an investment if you are looking to expand in jazz singing, musical repertoire and belting technique !
