It can be difficult starting out on your creative journey. For those that want to get into fashion, or for emerging designers, there can be a lack of guidance or support. It can be worth while having someone that can mentor you through the process.
A mentoring scheme allows for one on one guidance and individual teaching to help you understand the process of creating fashion from start to finish.
It is important to have an individual response to art, design and fashion to make sure you stand out within the industry, having something unique to offer.
I will guide you through the creative process, from research and initial ideas to designs and design development. We will discuss fabric choices and fabrication, finishes and trims, leading onto the making process, sampling and technical drawing packs. Finishing with batch production and presentation.
I can mentor you on the entire process from start to finish or mentor you on just a section of the process.
You will learn a vast range of different techniques of creating creative work, in research, design, drawing, and technical language. This will all help in making sure you have a thoroughly explored final outcome.

"Dominic is a great tutor. He brings his lively and fun energy to every session and makes sure everyone reaches their potential" - VO/ART union China
Excellent! Dominic is an amazing tutor! He guided me on my creative assignment and statement of intent for my submission into a fashion design school. As someone who is changing career paths into fashion design, I had no one to mentor or critique my work. Therefore, I’m greatful to have Dominic as my first mentor to fashion design. He is knowledgeable in his craft, enthusiastic and kind. I would recommend Dominic as a tutor.
