My teaching methodology is grounded in inspiring passion and confidence in my students, as I believe this establishes long-term motivation to continue improving one's musical prowess. In a lesson, we would first focus on technique and making sure the voice is being used in a healthy way, before working with your strengths when selecting and working on pieces!
I am a current MMus student at King's College London, having just graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree, with first class honours. I have experience teaching students of all ages, and I have also been musical director of an award winning a cappella group for the last two years.

Mallika was the music director (and currently assistant music director) of our a cappella group “The Rolling Tones” and she has always been doing a really great job in arranging, teaching and assisting the rest of the group with our parts. On top of having excellent musicianship, she is a very well-organised and patient person when it comes to teaching & directing. She also has a strong music background as she has a bachelor’s degree in music from King’s College London and is currently pursuing a master’s in music also at KCL. As her course mate I know how qualified and knowledgeable Mallika is when it comes to music. You simply want to be coached by someone as experienced, musically-inclined, smart, patient, organised as Mallika!
Mallika is an intelligent, kind teacher who has hugely helped me improve and I would highly recommend her to anyone.
Mallika was the musical director for my a cappella group for two years, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is vastly knowledgeable, and is one of the kindest, most caring people I know. She's not only a talented arranger, but also a wonderful teacher. I can say with certainty that I wouldn't be half the singer I am today without her guidance! Mallika is incredibly passionate about music, and I couldn't have asked for a better person to teach both myself and our group.
Whilst being taught by Mallika, my singing improved significantly. Every lesson is fun and very well explained. I fully recommend Mallika to people of all ages and skill levels.
