My teaching methodology is to start simple, then to build it up. First assessing the child's needs then building personal lesson around them. If the child is starting from the start, in that they cannot read music I will start by introducing them to the treble clef and then to bass. if required also alto and tenor clefs. within my lessons PowerPoints shall be used and them sent to the students so they can refer back to. Furthermore, making recordings if it is a practical lesson so they have something to refer back to when practices at home.
Music has been apart of my life since I can remember, singing before I could talk. My greatest achievements have been gaining a Grade 8 ABRSM in singing and my Grade 5 theory ABRSM. furthermore soling for the University of Lincoln when I was just in sixth form. I have been reading music for over 10 years now and would love to pass this skill on.
