About the lesson
I am a very friendly, understanding musician, and have a natural flair for teaching others.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach the 'cello and piano, and can also teach music theory, academic music and ensemble playing.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have grade 8 distinction in both cello and piano. I am currently studying at Trinity College of Music, on the BMus course studying the cello.
- How much do you charge?
I charge the rates above, plus travel if necessary. I can offer a free, half-hour consultation lesson.
- Where do you teach?
I teach either at my home in Greenwich, or I can travel to you.
I do not own a piano, so I teach at students' homes or in hired practice rooms.
- When are you available?
My diary is very flexible, but I am mainly available at weekends and evenings.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I can teach any age or experience, including beginners. I can offer advice on the purchase of instruments too.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I can enter students for ABRSM, and Trinity Guildhall exams.

- What kind of experience do you have?
I am an experienced performing musician, and have played many solo recitals and concertos.
I lead the cello section of the Sinfonia at Trinity College of Music, and play in a string quartet and piano trio.
I have two years' teaching experience, and am well read on the subject of music pedagogy.

- Where and with whom did you train?
I studied with Joe Koos (Principal cello of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra) in Dorset, before I came to music college. I now study with Richard Markson (renowned soloist and conductor).
