My name is Daria and I'm a Russian pianist based in Manchester. The piano has been my passion since my childhood! I love teaching - I give all my knowledge and support to my students. My reward is seeing them fulfilling their ideals with passion!
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach the piano to all levels and ages.
I teach musicianship, using a wide range of varied activities and exercises.
I teach Russian language to all levels - to talk is the most important. For medium and advanced levels, I will go through a wide range of literature, grammar and practical exercises.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I'm currently pursuing a Master Degree in Piano Performance at the Royal Northern College of Music.
Previously, I studied with Yuri Kot at the Tchaikovsky Academy (Kiev) until 2010 and in 2012 gained a BMus(Hons) at the RNCM studying with Norma Fisher.
I have worked on an extensive range of repertoire with Andras Schiff, Nelson Goerner, Michel Beroff, Vovka Ashkenazy, Vadim Rudenko, Andrzej Jasinski, Philippe Cassard, Fanny Waterman, to name a few.
- How much do you charge?
I'm happy to give a free consultation lesson.
Each lesson at my place (1 hour) will be charged £25.
I'm happy to teach you at your place too - the extra fee for traveling expenses would be £5.
- Where do you teach?
I teach at my place - 23 Loxford Street, in central Manchester, or at the student's preferred location in Manchester.
- When are you available?
My time is reasonably flexible - I can adjust my schedule to suite the student need.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all ages and levels (from beginners to advanced).
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
I use Skype and e-mail for Musicianship and Russian language lessons, which we will plan and schedule together in advance

- What kind of experience do you have?
I taught several piano students during at Highfield Primary School and at the RNCM.
In the last few years I have been very active both as solo pianist and chamber-musician. Occasionally, I have also played concertos with orchestra as a soloist, as well as playing within the orchestra, with large ensembles and accompanying singers. I have played numerous times in England, Ukraine and Portugal.
I have been project-assistant and trainee of the RNCM International Outreach Project since 2012. In 2011, I was invited to give piano masterclasses in Faro (Portugal). During 2009, I was part of a non-profitable association, in Kiev which constituted a choir of children and gave them musical education and opportunity to perform in public halls. Recently I gave solo recitals in Lichfield Festival and Marple art gallery. In 2013 became part of Life Music Now scheme.

- Where and with whom did you train?
I studied the piano with Norma Fisher, at the RNCM and with Yuri Kot at the Tchaikovsky National Academy. Currently I study with Frank Wibaut at the RNCM.
I studied Teaching Pedagogy during two years at the RNCM, with Helen Krizos.
