- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a BSc (Hons) Microbiology (2:1) from the University of Aberdeen with a combined study of genetics, cell biology, biochemistry and biomedical sciences. I also gained a PGCE (Science) from the University of Bristol, including educational methodology, law and 20 weeks of practical teaching. I obtained a CELTA (Pass B) from International House in Seville after an intensive 4 week course, having completed 8 hours of teaching at several levels.
- How much do you charge?
My flat fee is £20 per hour for one-to-one lessons; £30 for groups of two; £40 for groups of 3; £50 for groups of 4; £60 for groups of 5. Blocks of 10 lessons purchased come with 1 free; blocks of 20 come with 3 free. There is a £5 fuel charge per visit if outside Aberdeen city area.
- Where do you teach?
I teach at students' homes. I can teach in Aberdeen, Ellon, Inverurie, Kemnay, Kintore, Blackburn, Westhill, Newburgh, Newtonhill, Portlethen, Stonehaven and Aberdeenshire in general. I can travel up to 20 miles outside of Aberdeen city.
- When are you available?
I am available 5.30-11 pm weekday evenings and 9 am- 8 pm on weekends
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
Ages 18 + from beginner to advanced.

First Certificate in English; IELTS; CAE; A-levels in above subjects

- What kind of experience do you have?
I taught biology, chemistry and languages in Rwanda with VSO for 2 and a half years. There, I also ran and implemented national training courses for science teachers as well as writing the national exams for biology for the Rwandan Ministry of Education. I have taught all sciences in a Church of England secondary school for 2 years, also assisting the Head of Year in pastoral duties. For the past 18 months I have been running my own business (Excellent Education) providing private lessons for adults.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I only teach those over 18 years old.

I have founded and run the North East Adult Education Cooperative, which shares ideas, employment and resources between local tutors.

I have a wide variety of students: Igor from Slovakia learning elementary English, Jola from Poland learning Intermediate English. Tayla from Scotland learning beginner bass guitar. Lee from Scotland being helped with numeracy.
