The first thing I will do is ask you what you struggle with so we can make a list and a plan. Then we will start the lessons. Don't worry if your not sure what is holding you back we'll work it out.
When teaching I like to ensure you understand the topic first by starting with the easiest bits and adding to it. I will ask questions to check for your comprehension, make notes with you during teaching for you to look back on and relate everyday concepts to the topic so it is easier to understand. Once you understand we will look at how to tackle the exam questions so that you don't make common mistakes or miss out common marks. I often find that people understand the topics but not how to do an exam.
I am a second-year dental student from Newcastle at Newcastle; so I'm here all year round. I would love to teach you chemistry and biology. I hope I can make the lessons enjoyable and memorable. I will focus on whatever you struggling with and if your not sure what that is we can start from the beginning. I am happy to teach chemistry and biology up to A level standard, GCSE or high school.
I also offer support with preparing for the UKCAT and writing medicine or dentistry personal statements. I am also happy to help you with choosing which universities are best for you to apply to. I have also already helped 2 students successfully gain a place to study dentistry this academic year.

I am a second year dental student and I am passionate about helping people get into university. I helped 2 girls from my previous 6th form apply and they both got into dentistry. I also have made my own flashcards on the UKCAT in brainscape to help others remember some of the patterns in the random questions. I understand that applying is a difficult time with lots of pressures and hoops you are expected to jump through on top of completing you’re a levels but I believe if you face these challenges with determination and the humility to ask for help there is no reason you can’t do it.
I have participated in chemistry and math’s challenges where I represented the school. I was also a prefect at my 6th form in charge of improving communication with our brother school, St.Cuthberts. I learned a lot about professionalism and I enjoyed working with a team to solve problems. I volunteered at St.John’s ambulance for 4 years where I worked with young children, teaching them first aid. I have also volunteered for over six months at St.Catherine’s Care home where I came up with activities for the residents to do which they would enjoy but also not put them in harm’s way. I found this challenging but fun as it was also very rewarding to improve their quality of life. I enjoyed building up a relationship with the people there.
I am in a rock band and had the opportunity to play at the O2 arena and Northern Stage. I have done the Great North Run and I have completed my Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award. When I take part in an activity I try to do it to the best of my ability and I enjoy a challenge.
My past employment consists of working as a bartender in St.James and a waitress at Bella Italia. This has given me valuable experience in working with a wide range of ages. I choose to work in these fields because I find working with people the most rewarding. One of the most important things I learned was about achieving high standards. This involved not only doing check backs and setting tables but also making sure that the bar or restaurant was well stocked and prepared.
