When we first start our lessons I will ask you to bring along a recent exam paper that you have completed. I will then review this and put together a plan for our sessions to ensure that we use the time effectively, focusing only on the areas of mathematics that you are struggling with.
Exam practise is key to success in exams so once we have covered the skills needed to tackle the exam questions, we will work through exam questions on those topics.
At the end of each session I will provide the students with work to complete based on what we have been practising.
As Director of Mathematics I know the curriculum inside out and have an abundance of resources at my disposal so we will never be short of materials to use in our sessions :).
I am currently entering my third year as Director of Mathematics at a secondary school in Norfolk and I have been teaching mathematics at both GCSE and A level for 6 years. I have also been a private tutor for 8 years tutoring both GCSE and A level maths.
In my spare time I also teach dance and performing arts at my school and coached cheerleading and dance squads whilst at university.
