Methodology

I am happy to teach any age up to A-level. I like to spend some of the lesson looking at what the student is currently learning and help them with their assignments. This allows me to get a feel for what level they are at, as well as generally helping them to excel in their course. Then I literally like to 'have a good chat' and perform written exercises (e.g. letter writing, essay writing) using the learnt material, gradually and naturally increasing their vocabulary and understanding of the grammar and syntax. I want my students to feel they can confidently conduct a conversation in French through practice, rather than simply learn parrot-fashion.

Experience

I was born in Surrey but grew up in France for 10 years from the age of 2 to 12. I went to a French speaking school and am consequently bilingual in French and English. I miss the language and would be thrilled to be able to practice it through teaching it.
