I am a drummer from Brighton who has toured worldwide with various groups and holds a Degree in music, as well as a masters in Music Business
Methodology
I begin my lessons by understanding the students goals. The students end goals are the most important thing in their career. So for example, if the student wants to become the next top indie player, there is no point teaching him the top reggae tunes of the 1980's.
Once that is established, I break down the key factors of what makes a perfect drummer in that desired style of music. This will include popular grooves, fills, songs and tempos within that genre. Lesson by lesson, we will recap and grow.
Experience
My name is Tom Shrimpton, I began playing music at the age of 15 and was in my first signed band at 17. We toured worldwide and played some of the most highly acclaimed festivals such as Reading, Download, Metal Hammer. We were nominated for awards by Kerrang and Metal Hammer and performed at the Metal Hammer Awards. Since then I have continued to tour worldwide with various artists and have received a First Class Hons Degree in Music (Drums) and a Masters in Music Business and Enterprise.
