I find exercises to be the most effective learning method. However, with more challenging topics I love going back to the basics of the concept. Learning what is the origin and utility of a concept can offer a much more comprehensive understanding than sheer practice.
I have always enjoyed teaching others difficult concepts and breaking them into simple concepts. In both high school and college, group study was my favourite method of teaching by reciprocating teaching and being taught by my friends.
Formally, I have taught statistics to 20+ second-year students for a semester. 80% of the students finished the module with a first class.
