I enjoy helping pupils understand why a mathematical idea or concept is true to help them understand and remember it. My own personal experience with Mathematics is that the right approach and hard work is what creates a mathematician than any innate ability you are born with.
I am an undergraduate at Cambridge, studying Economics. I have excellent grades and teaching experience. I was a scholar at Winchester College 2013-2018
I have taught younger students since I was 15 through a volunteering program at my school. I have had excellent responses from teachers, receiving a commendation at my school for my work. For example, head of the volunteering work as my school described my teaching as follows:
'Ethan is like the pied piper, such is his charisma and warmth that eager pupils gather around him as soon as he arrives. He has been, undeniably, our most popular helper at All Saints Primary School...'

These are the exams you take for Maths at Cambridge. My Pre-Us finished on the 12th July, so I had until the 18th to prepare for STEP II and 21st for STEP III. I didn't need a grade in STEP, so only prepared for it after my other exams finished. A 1 in STEP II & III is the offer grade for maths at Cambridge
Step III: 1
Step II: 3
Taught debating and chess to young children at two Primary schools, and was excellently received. From my school reports:
'Ethan is a star debater and shines in this activity. He is determined to get the Stanmore children to understand how to debate, and puts great energy into coaching them, yet does it with an appealing avuncular gentleness. He instinctively simplifies his vocabulary without talking down to them, and has the teacher's gift of calling them to order without alienating them. He is a natural leader for the group and has stepped in to deputize for me once or twice.'
'Ethan is like the pied piper, such is his charisma and warmth that eager pupils gather around him as soon as he arrives. He has been, undeniably, our most popular helper at All Saints Primary School and his young charges have taken great delight in listening to him wax lyrical on his latest chess moves. It has been a delight to supervise this engaging and energetic young man and I have been grateful for his contribution this term.'
