I base my tutoring on the current curriculum the student is engaged in. I do in class assignments and practice, and homework and I try to move at the pace of the student. After evaluating the student and the best suitable pace I set up a timetable so they know what to expect and the parent can also keep track
I have a bachelor's degree in economics and philosophy, and now pursuing a Masters in public policy. I have informally helped primary students in math in my last work area in Kenya, including tutoring my 12 year old brother in his math. I have also volunteered at Awana club with middle schoolers during my undergraduate years. I am also a teens youth service teacher at my church. I am comfortable around kids of all ages.

Initiated and coordinated one-on-one mentorship program (within Missions of Hope International an NGO that educates over 17,000 vulnerable youth) as an effective intervention in helping mitigate undesired outcomes of youth living in urban slums.
Developed an individualized galvanizing support system that will enforce accountability and motivate the youth to self-actualization.
Includes academic tutoring, exposure to successful people who were previously poor, Socratic method discussions, chess game training, and career-based mentorship as well.
Developed ways to measure the success of the mentorship program qualitatively and quantitively to make necessary improvements.
Recruited and supervised a mentorship committee of 3 people that took over after I left for graduate school and would ensure the sustainability and growth of the program.
