As a university student, I understand that as you grow older, the traditional teaching methods used in school are not necessarily the most effective way to study or understand something. Hence, I devise interactive lessons that allow students to exploit their potential through the use of different online and textbook materials as well as materials accrued during my time in school.
Most of my lessons tend to involve helping the student work through different problem sets and questions rather than just dwelling on theory throughout. I feel that it is through this that a student is able to fully understand the concepts being taught and how to apply it in different situations.
During my schooling period, I ran a tutoring program at an orphanage as part of my community service project. I tutored underprivileged children aged 13-15 at a local orphanage in Mathematics and developed teaching and presentation skills by preparing lesson plans, presentations and problem sets. The class average stood above 80% during their end of year exams for the three years of the tutoring program.
Additionally, I also used to work alongside my fellow students and spend time outside of classes tutoring weaker students achieve their potential - three of the weaker students I tutored saw a 20% increase in their grades by the end of the year.

My Name is Karan Khagram and I am currently a student at The University of Warwick.
Having been a student recently and graduated with an International Baccalaureate Diploma scoring 43 out of 45 Points with 7's in Higher Level Maths, English, Economics, Standard Level Physics and Information Technology, (Equivalent to 5 A*'s in the Subjects) I understand the amount of hours and practice required to be put in to pass the IB, A-Level or GCSE systems.
Having studied six subjects rigorously for two years for my IB Diploma, I have a comprehensive understanding of the curriculum for all six subjects studied. However, as an Economics student, I have a better understanding in Maths, Further Maths and Economics and tutor those subjects.
I enjoy working with children, and having been a student myself, understand that not every child learns using the same method. I myself had to go through 4 different methods before I found a comfortable way to study Economics! This has helped me devise different tutoring methods and different plans for students of all ages and types.
