Methodology

- Which subject(s) do you teach?

I teach all brass instruments and piano at a beginner level, as well as advanced lessons on tenor horn, euphonium and tuba. I can also teach classical theory, GCSE music tutoring, music programme skills (eg. Sibelius, Cubase etc.) and general musicianship.

- Tell me about your qualifications.

GCSE and A Level music at A grades, grade 5 theory with distinction, grade 8 tuba with distinction, grade 8 piano with distinction. Currently studying at Trinity College of Music for a BMus (Hons) degree. I also have a European Computer Driving License to assist with computer based music programmes.

- How much do you charge?

£25 an hour, and half hour lessons are available.

- Where do you teach?

I am based in Greenwich, and have full teaching facilities, including Yamaha piano, in my home. I am happy to teach were travel is convenient, please contact me for further details. Possible areas to travel to include Charlton, Dartford, New Cross, East London and East Central London.

- When are you available?

Most days during the week are convenient, including evenings, and weekends and school holidays are also fine.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

I can teach from very beginner levels up to advanced standards on the instruments mentioned above. I am happy to teach adult learners, and younger students.

Conducting/leading Youth Wind Bands over the years, and taken sectionals in other Youth based groups.

- Where and with whom did you train?

I am currently studying at Trinity College of Music, with the professional tuba players Oren Marshall (world-renowned soloist and pioneer of electronic and experimental music) and George Wall (current principal tuba of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden)
