My methodology is simple. It is based on one principle, which is to take a very large concept and breaking it down into easy to digest chunks which are further absorbed as bits. This principle can be applied to everything and therefore I can supplement my tutorials with this simple practice that can be carried out in other subjects.
Other parts of my methodology include the reconstruction of mental information placement by providing you with more than one perspective of the content. I believe it is this that is imperative for that 'penny dropping' feeling which I all too familiar with.
I am an aspiring engineer pursuing a degree in Triple E (Electronic and Electrical Engineering), I have reached this point by completing GCSE's and A-Levels both with amazing grades. This means that I am aware of the curriculum and willing to help. I understand that it is difficult to understand some of the things that are to be learnt, with 4 years of intensive experience I have tips and tricks that can help you out.
Cancellation of Lessons: A minimum of 3 hours notice must be given by any form of contact that you have. If this is not done then it leads to a £5 charge on top of the rate agreed upon.
Long distance: Generally my method of transportation is walking as I cannot legally drive yet, so I would have to get the Bus. Alternatively a mutual location such as a library or quiet public place can also be selected.
Siblings Discount: If the student has a sibling which is also to be tutored then the individual rate goes down to £8/hour.
Achievements: UKMT: In 2014, I participated in the UK Intermediate Maths Challenge and the Senior one in 2015.
UK Beaver Computing challenge: In 2013, I participated in the International Contest on Informatics and Computer Fluency.
A-Level Electronics Coursework: I have produced a complex digital circuit which functions as an Assault Rifle Ammunition Counter (photographic evidence can be requested) and on the day of testing was 100% operational and built and reported on weeks ahead of the deadline.
- I have a 15 year old brother who is currently doing his GCSE's and frequently asks for help - effects are noticeable as the teacher's comments are always positive if my influence has been added into the task.
