About the lesson
I am a free-lancing professional Violinist based in South London, with a passion for teaching and performing. I love exploring all genres of music and reaching as many different kinds of people possible with my music-making.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
Primarily the Violin, however I can also offer tuition on the Viola and for Music Theory.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I am a graduate of Trinity College of Music, London with a BMus (Hons) degree. As a younger student I also completed many of the ABRSM graded music exams and I have my Grade 8 Distinction for Violin.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £30 an hour, plus travel expenses.
- Where do you teach?
I teach in and around London and am happy to travel to my students' homes. I find that younger students especially are usually more comfortable working an environment they already know.
- When are you available?
As a free-lance musician, my schedule is very flexible. I can be available all times of day/evening on most weekdays and weekends. I can also teach during the school holiday periods, whatever is mutually convenient!
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I will teach anyone who wants to learn! I have had students ranging from ages 6 - 86 and of all abilities.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
If my students wish to take graded exams, I teach the ABRSM syllabus.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
I believe in making my lessons great fun and relaxed, whilst remaining focused on learning the violin thoroughly and easily. I am dedicated to helping you realise your full musical potential - whether this is working towards Grade Exams, solo performances or learning a few tunes for fun! If you have any questions please just ask, no matter how bizarre or silly you may think they sound!
