I teach a variety of students cello and piano at Schools in Kent and also privately. I have found that each student needs a different approach to learning their instrument but my main aim is for my students to enjoy their lessons.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

- Do you have a personal message for students?
My approach to each student is very individual. If you want to be pushed and complete grades then I can do that. However, if you want to take your time, work around other commitments or not take exams then that is also fine. I tailor my teaching to you whilst still aiming to get the best out of you.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I teach cello at Barton Court Grammar School, River Primary School, St Faiths at Ash School, The Abbey School and St Simons Catholic School. I also teach violin at Westmeads infant school and piano at River Primary School, St Anselms School and East Farleigh School.
I run a junior and senior after school orchestra for Kent Music at Whitstable Community College and I also run the orchestra at River Primary School.
As well as the above I also teach a number of private students across Kent.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I have an up-to-date DBS
- Where and with whom did you train?
I trained with Julian Metzger for seven years and Julia Vorahlik for 2 years.
I have had weekly ensemble coaching from Martin Outram from the Maggini Quartet for three years. I have also had coaching from the Maggini quartet.
I have taken part in masterclasses with Michal Kaznowski and Aleksei Kiseliov.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
- Tell me about some of your current students.
Some of my students practice every day. Some practice once a week. Each student is very different in the way they learn which is something I am conscious of when I come to teach different students. Some lessons will start with scales, other lessons will contain a lot of improvisation. My main aim is for my pupils to enjoy their lessons while making progress at the same time. So far I believe I am achieving this from my teaching.
