- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach the flute, saxophone, clarinet and music theory. I also teach Music at KS3, GCSE and A level.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I am currently the Lead Practitioner for Music at Eltham Hill School. I have graduated from Leeds College of Music and have completed a PGCE course at the University of Greenwich and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. I have a performance and teaching diploma on the flute and am of post grade 8 standard on the saxophone and clarinet.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £30 for an hour - this includes lesson planning, an hour lesson and travel.
There are discounts for group lessons which can be discussed.
- Where do you teach?
I teach throughout West Yorkshire
- When are you available?
I am available on evenings and weekends. Please feel free to contact me to discuss a time that will be suitable for you.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all ages and am able to teach all abilities on the flute and saxophone, and beginner to intermediate clarinet and music theory.
I can tutor all ages and abilities for GCSE and A level Music.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I am able to prepare students for whichever exams they wish to take -but am happy to teach pupils who wish to learn for enjoyment, without the pressure of the exams!

- What kind of experience do you have?
I have experience teaching privately and in a classroom setting, as well as planning and delivering musical workshops to children with additional needs. I also have a number of students that I teach privately.
In my current role I teach music at KS3, GCSE and A level.
As a freelance musician I have lots of performance experience both as a soloist and orchestral performer. I perform as a soloist regularly and have previously won national competitions run by the British Flute Society. I have been a vital member of the Leeds College of Music Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra and Wind Orchestra and am currently a member of Windstruments Flute Choir.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Yes, I have also completed a safeguarding course.
- Where and with whom did you train?
I have studied at Chethams School of Music and Leeds College of Music with flute expert Martyn Shaw who trained at the Royal Academy of Music. I have also taken masterclasses with Kevin Gowland, Ian Clarke, Lisa Nelson, Jonathan Rimmer and Paul Edmond-Davies.
