I am here to help you evolve into the singer that lives within you. I tailor each one-to-one lesson to fit the needs of each student.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
My primary instrument is the voice. I teach any and all ages, taking a special interest in older students, adults hoping to give singing a chance.
I have experience in many genres and styles (classical, music theatre, pop, contemporary), as well as helping to prepare students for Grade Exams, GCSE's, School Performances, Auditions, etc. I also teach bands and groups, hoping to add a little extra flair to their sound.
My secondary instrument is the piano/keyboard. I offer beginner to intermediate lessons in any genre that appeals to the student as well as helping them prepare for Grade Exams, School Performances, Auditions, etc.
I offer Basic Music Theory lessons as well, each tailored to fit the need of the student.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have received a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from Idaho State University, Pocatello, Idaho, United States.
I have been actively teaching in the U.K. since January 2016
I have participated in music programs in various places all over the world through classical singing.
Currently, I am a part of an Oxfordshire Rock band called The Demoiselles.

- When are you available?
I am available for day and evening lessons in the week and daytime lessons on the weekend.
Wednesday- Friday 10am-8pm
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach ages 8 and up, some special cases vary.
My forte is teaching adults, who are looking to get back into learning, and want to find their voice.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I have helped students prepare for Grade Exams (Rock School, Trinity, etc.) and GCSE's.
I have also coached students for auditions into Music Theatre productions and schools.
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
If a student would like online lessons, they must have access to video calling me in some fashion (Skype, Facetime, Facebook Messenger Video Calls) meaning that a strong internet connection is also necessary. I do advise though that in-person lessons are a better way to better grasp the information given in vocal and piano lessons.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
Music is a lifelong journey and a very unique journey at that. It is my personal goal to help any person who wants to find the voice that lives within them. I like to offer a safe and inspiring environment for each student to feel comfortable in- to open up and make some real noise. I do not believe that anyone is tone-deaf, or "cannot" sing - especially if they have a heart for it. If you have a desire to open up and learn about how music lessons can change your life, get in contact and set up a Free Trial lesson today!
- What kind of experience do you have?
Within my time at University, I took private classical vocal lessons, as well as many courses in theory, musicianship, vocal pedagogy, and stage performance.
In the time that I have been teaching, I have helped students successfully prepare for Grade Exams through various curriculums (Rock School, Trinity, etc.)
I have experience with emotionally and mentally sensitive students, having had numerous students with special learning needs.
My band, The Demoiselles have gigged, as well as recorded, giving me a lot of experience with microphone work.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I have a valid DBS Certificate that I can provide upon request.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
I currently teach students of all ages, in varying levels of musicianship. I divide my lesson time up into warm-ups and general musicianship which is standard for every lesson, and then the last portions of the lessons are allocated to music that the student chooses. I want each student to sing and play music that makes them feel good about making sound.
A portion of my students are currently in the process of Grade Exam Boards and I have had a 100% success rate in passing these exams, most with Distinguishing Marks.
