I am currently a Bioengineering grad student at Imperial College and I have a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. I also have worked in the industry (two years post-undergrad), which means I have the first experience in applying engineering experience to practice. My teaching methods are interactive, practical, and tailored to the needs of my students. I love to explain complex theories with everyday examples because my aim is to demystify the sciences for students of all grade levels.
My lesson structure would initially follow the approved term curriculum. Once I have understood the needs of my students, I would then create a lesson plan that will meet these needs based on their current knowledge and level of understanding. I would go the extra mile to create practical examples outside of the ones displayed in the recommended texts.
Also, I like to train my students to be self-sufficient and develop critical thinking, and analytical skills. To achieve this I use a combination of lessons, class and home assignments, data processing tools, and reward systems.
Finally, I believe in giving and receiving feedback so that everyone is aware of how much work they are currently putting in, and how much further we have to go.
I am an engineering grad student at Imperial College. I have worked as a math and physics secondary school teacher. I have also offered volunteer math and introductory engineering tutorial services to undergrad engineering students in my community. I have also provided tutoring services for standardized exams such as the IGCSE and the West African Certification Examination. Of all my students, none have recorded grades below Bs.
