I believe that everyone has their own style of learning and that they learn at different speeds, which is why I will tailor my sessions to the individual and find the best learning style for them.
By tailoring each session to you, it will allow me to help you get where you want to be!
I am a Mechanical Engineer who graduated in 2016 from Aston University with First Class Honors. After graduating I worked in the aerospace, large power generation and technology industries, and in doing so I accumulated a wide range of experiences, which means I can relate what I am tutoring to real life application and explain why it is important to not just remember a scientific or mathematical concept, but also understand and apply it.
More recently due to my passion for education and making a positive difference I completed a PGCE in Secondary Science, during in which I taught KS3 & KS4 Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Due to completing A level Maths and covering high levels of Maths during my Mechanical Engineering degree I am also able to tutor KS3 & KS4 Maths.
I believe through education the landscape of a students life can be changed for the better and this is why alongside Maths & Science tutoring I will also support and guide my students with the plethora of opportunities available career wise through further education, whether that be apprenticeships or university.
During my time at university I was involved in the Aimhigher mentoring scheme where I provided face to face and online support to students ranging from year 7 to 13, helping with any problems and giving guidance on future education. I was also a Unifest summer and Easter school ambassador and during these roles I was commended for my work as a student ambassador and received an award from Aston university for striving to raise higher education aspirations among school students.
